Ceramics / Clay
We have all of the equipment to enable full classes to work together. Finished work can be displayed in a range of ways as you can see from the gallery. Pupils can make small or large scale work to take home or work for school and public displays. We are able to arrange firing of work and can also offer the use of coloured slip and glaze colours for projects.
Uckfield Schools Community Partnership Ceramic Project

Excited children arrive with ther families for the opening of the exhibition. Uckfield Mayor opens the exhibition. Head Teacher, Chris Davies, who instigated the project reveals the display to the audience pulling back the curtains. Carol Havard Workshop Facilitator – Art Techniques. Using clay for Ceramic Projects leads pupils into learning about history, science and other cultures from around the world. This tactile versatile material is fantastic for pupils to use to make models, tiles and carvings. This page will show you examples of some of our ceramic projects to date.
Nutley School Project
Pupils from Nutley School made clay tiles based on nature as part of the Village School Association Project. Each pupil making their own individual tile. All tiles were slip painted and bisque fired.
Greek Ceramic Sessions
We bring examples along and all of the equipment for a full class including floor and table covers. The Terracotta Army.
